Hence, we are laser-focused on results and ensure ample de-risking. Unless the entire commercialization strategy is vetted before implementation, we do rush into any project. Also, while we pay deep attention to strategy; we are very focused on the executable nature of the strategy since successful execution is what makes a project successful.
The AmeriGEM team judiciously evaluates and cherry-picks technologies that we invest in. Deep experience with several technology commercialization projects has given us a keen eye to detect what is half-baked technology and which ones are commercialization-friendly. AmeriGEM ensures deep checks of ‘Research – Development – Deployment’ ensuring that each stage gate is satisfied and that the technology is sound, meets a clear need, and is deployment suitable.
It starts with key HR – it always does. A famous quote by Cornell alumni Mr. Ratan Tata, Chairman of $120B revenue Tata Group is – “If you want to walk fast, walk alone. But if you want to walk far; walk together.” AmeriGEM ensures that our teams – both internal and external alliances – have synergistic skill sets and capabilities. We are relentless and do not compromise on authenticity and ethics. AmeriGEM core team has individuals with cross-functional experiences, training, and execution successes. AmeriGEM seeks out and sets up external alliances ensuring all stakeholders have a common mission and objectives.
Most see funding as a formidable hurdle. Our experience is that this is relatively easy due to our established credibility of execution. We find that funding is the relatively easy part and it generally follows provided we have crossed the difficult hurdles of project vetting, strategy, and execution plan.
Argonne National Laboratory’s DOE fellow Dr. Khalil Amine articulates this well – “Scaling up deep technology is as much an art as it is a science”. We could not agree more and have first-hand experienced this. What works satisfactorily at the lab scale does not generally scale well at the plant scale. To ensure the process is reliable, repeatable, and has high yields, AmeriGEM teams have time-tested scale-up technologies and alliances that ensure the operational delivery is never the weak link in the value chain.
De-Risking, Resilience, and Rebalancing of the entire value chain is what the pandemic era has reinforced. AmeriGEM is supportive of globalization and yet ensures that our processes, plants, and people are amply de-risked for destabilizing factors external to AmeriGEM i.e. the macro business environment. AmeriGEM builds redundancy in every aspect of the value chain – raw materials > logistics > production > automation > customer delivery and fulfillment. Furthermore, we carefully engage stakeholders in each project such that our value chains are joined at the hip to withstand, work through and de-risk externally created situations
The adage goes – “it all starts when someone buys or commits to buying something”. AmeriGEM builds profitable businesses around this focal point. Irrespective of having the best product, technology, and service, supported by multiple boardroom scenario plannings, AmeriGEM only progresses those projects that have clear and committed buyer commitments. Ideally, buyers are included as stakeholders in the value chain to ensure that sufficient de-risking is in place for consumption and uptakes.

AmeriGEM’s management has invested in, built, turned around, and successfully exited businesses that became globally leading businesses in their sectors. Planning for and taking on the added responsibility as an industry leader comes naturally to AmeriGEM’s management. For instance, AmeriGEM management has experience in banding industry players to cooperate and organize a united front against adversary country trade practices that were close to wiping out entire industries in the United States. In specific instances, AmeriGEM management has engaged the US govt. to protect US industry by enforcing tariffs and duties (some retroactive) thereby placing protective barriers to US industry from adversary countries and unfair practices.
Europe’s energy reliance during the Russia-Ukraine conflict is concerning. With European energy prices skyrocketing and supply uncertainties, it is yet again reinforced that energy independence is indeed a matter of national security. With the current geopolitical situation, it can be anticipated that US adversary countries will further weaponize energy materials and technologies. AmeriGEM’s key leaders have played an instrumental role in guiding and marshaling what the US govt should invest in for fast-track US manufacturing and building US-centric capabilities for US self-reliance of critical energy materials and technologies.
